On the 16th of December every year, the Kingdom of Bahrain celebrates its National day when streets are filled with lights and happiness. 2020 however added a different flavour as the whole world celebrated Beethoven's 250th birthday.  Beethoven was born on the 16th or 17th of December 1770 in Bonn.  The Bahrain Embassy in Germany celebrated its national day online due to the Covid 19 pandemic in the presence of the German and Bahraini officials and Pianist Noor Al Qassim from Vienna, where the great Maestro spent most of his life untill his death in 1827. She performed the National anthem for theopening of the ceremony follwed by the German national anthem and concluding the ceremony with Beethoven's Sonata no. 30 op.109.
